Basic counters from angles 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 will be covered and a review of counters for angles 1-4. Also basic lock n' block and basic flow sparring will be covered. Close range system of stickfighting teaches one to deal with weapons at close range integrating armed and unarmed responses to real attacks. In a real weaponed altercation, one cannot pick the range or distance of the fight. Close range is where any weapon blunt or edge can do the most damage, so why not train in close range. Learning close range princiiples can give anyone a good background and experience in the complexities & intricacies of close range combat scenarios may it be armed or unarmed adversaries.
