Palm wood sticks or coco wood, are more commonly known as “Bahi hardwood” in the Philippines. The hardwood used to produce these finely crafted eskrima sticks come from the high density inner cores of specific and rare coconut trees. This tropical hardwood is heavier and harder than a rattan stick, therefore it can deliver a greater degree of effectiveness. Often used as a solo training device to practice powerful angles of attack and to develop wrist strength, these were also known to be used in unpadded competitions. The Bahi Eskrima Stick features a varnished semi-gloss finish and measures 28 inches in length and 7/8-1 inch in diameter. A pair of Bahi Eskrima Sticks would make a great addition to your stick bag!
